Thanksgiving

I made my first turkey today and I must say that I am very proud of myself. The turkey was not dry and tasted pretty good. We had 2 guests come and eat with us, one was a friend of James' from school and then he brought another guy. At first I was a little reluctant about them coming over but I am glad they did, they made it seem like an actual Thanksgiving dinner instead of just another dinner. Little James of course decided to wake up right as we were about to eat but after he ate he just chilled with us while we were eating. I forgot to take a picture of the table all done up before we ate but got the turkey!

We received some turkey day t-shirts in the mail the other day from James' dad! We all had our Thanksgiving gear on.

On a side note we took this after a bath the other day and I just think he is so cute!

Wednesday Nov 12th we arrived at the hospital a little after 6AM. They gave me Pitocin around 7:30. My doctor then left to do a surgery while I progressed. A little after 10 I believe she came back and broke my water. Very soon after that I requested the epidural for the pain. James arrived at 1:05 PM. He weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and was 22 in long. He is so precious and we are loving every sleepless moment of him being here. The hospital pediatrician wanted us to see our pediatrician on Monday so we went in for a quick visit. He is already almost back to birth weight weighing 8 lbs 8 oz as of yesterday. He was a little jaundice but they said not enough for a light as it has gotten better since leaving the hospital.

My Birthday/Baby Update

My birthday was last Sunday and I couldn't decide what kind of cake I was craving so luckily Walmart had a cake perfect for me! German Chocolate, Chocolate, Carrot and Red Velvet. For a store bought cake it wasn't too bad either (we did finally finish it). On Friday James took me to Famous Daves BBQ and it was so delicious! Please excuse how tired I look in this picture, I'm not sleeping very well at night due to my huge belly.

With my due date being on Tuesday I am very excited to get this baby out! Due to the gestational diabetes my doctor doesn't want me to go to 41 weeks so we will be inducing Wednesday morning if he isn't here yet. The end is in site! We are very excited to finally meet our little one. My mom arrived yesterday with my step dad to be here with me for the delivery. I am very thankful she was able to come up. Lisa is being induced the same day back home in GA so my mom will have 2 new grandsons on the same day. Kind of a crazy week!
