Lisa's Visit

Lisa is visiting with my niece Jillian. On Monday we went to the Zoo. Luckily James was able to go with us because he had a test that morning and had the afternoon free.

Jillian LOVES the Jungle Book so when we walked in she goes, "King Louie!"

She was a little scared to get too close to this big buy! He was just chillin' under his blanket!

Some type of Sheep

Monkeys! They were swinging around going crazy!

This guy reminded me of  an R.O.U.S from Princess Bride. They looked like giant hamsters!

The Leopard was hiding out on his rock. I would too if I were him. They are doing construction right next to the poor guy!

The girls! Lisa is due a week after me!

Otter!

Jillian and James racing to see who can dig the fastest!

Penguins!

Llama!

Jillian being cute!

We actually got to walk through this area so we were literally about 3 feet from these Kangaroos. They were just laying there, I was hoping the would be hopping around like a few of the Wallabies.

Two Giraffes really wanting to eat the tree but they had something protecting it.

As Jillian would say "Sher khan! He was taking a little cat nap.

Pumba! They blended in well with the dirt we almost didn't see them!

Rhinos from the observation deck

The Zebra wasn't out when we first walked up so we were watching the tortes walk by but luckily the Zebra decided to get really close!

Yesterday we kinda took it easy. Went to the pool in our complex and the water was freezing! Even the water in the 1 foot deep baby pool. Jillian didn't mind though. She played in it for a good hour or more. Lisa helped me put up the decoration decals for our baby's room. (will post pictures soon) Thursday we took Jillian to Presque Isle (lake Erie). She wasn't a fan of the noisy waves but had fun playing in the sand and finding rocks.

Our New Home

So far we really like our new place. It is weird not having all of our rooms on the same floor but the stairs are good. The living room was an odd shape but James figured out a way to make everything work. We even figured out how to give him a little study corner with a desk.

Our kitchen has a lot more counter space than our last place. I can use the counters when I cook instead of the table. I just redid our kitchen chairs. When we bought them from Ikea last year they came with just white cushions. There is also a 1/2 bath down here.

The guest room/baby room is almost there. We put all the clothes in the crib so I could take the picture. I still need to wash them all. The closet is deep so that is nice. The bathroom is between this room and our bedroom but didn't want to take a picture of the bathroom.

This is our room. We still need to get curtains for the winter time to keep the cold out but we have time for that.  There is also an unfinished basement for some storage.

Life so far in Erie

I will eventually get the rooms in the house without boxes in it so that I can take some pictures for everyone but that is a slow process. Thankfully James and his dad put the crib together while he was here so James doesn't have to by himself. James is super busy with school and studying but I like the time we get together.
In other news, I am finally in the 3rd trimester! So excited yet getting more and more freaked out.

The weather here has been a little dreary lately. We can't seem to go a few days without it raining. Here are some pictures of the landscaping outside of our townhouse. I took them with my phone as I just found the charger for the camera so bare with the quality.

Last Saturday was our ward temple day. We carpooled with a couple to our designated temple which is Palmyra (3 hour drive each way) and went to a session. It was much needed and although it took all day in the car which my legs didn't like, definitely worth it. This is a pretty bad picture but the good one has his friend's finger in it.

That is all I have to report so far. We miss being close to family but hope to visit around while we are here.

House Adventure

James here! After we matched into the Florida program we quickly discovered that there are very few rental opportunities in the Ocala area....
